Hadar Hazony

Hadar Ahiad Hazony, from Jerusalem, completed his undergraduate degree in Bible and history at Herzog College in Gush Etzion. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s Degree at Tel-Aviv University in political theory. During his time as a summer fellow in the summer of 2020, Hadar conducted an academic research project to explore contemporary conceptions of power, and how they shape modern man’s understanding of hierarchies and human social relations. Hadar studied closely the work of Alexis de Tocqueville and his theories on democratic man and equality; Karl Marx and his influence on contemporary progressivism; and Friedrich Nietzsche. Hadar was able to continue his important undergraduate and graduate studies through the Tikvah Summer Fellowship, using his time to both continue his research and to begin the process of organizing his thoughts into a theoretical framework. Hadar plans to attend graduate school in the U.S. or England once completing his Master’s degree.
