Aryeh Tepper is the author of Progressive Minds, Conservative Politics: Leo Strauss’ Later Writings on Maimonides (SUNY Press, 2013). Aryeh teaches Jewish Thought and Israel Studies at Ben Gurion University (Sede Boqer), Achva College and the Shechter Institute. He is currently the Director of Publications at the American Sephardi Federation, where he edits a bi-yearly magazine, The Sephardi Report, as well as two newsletters: Sephardi World Weekly and Sephardi Ideas Monthly. Aryeh is also the Academic Director of the Glazer-Ben Gurion University Israel Studies Seminar for Chinese Students, and he will soon take up the position of Academic Advisor for SIGNAL, an Israeli organization dedicated to furthering academic collaboration between Israel and China. Aryeh’s articles and essays have appeared in English and Hebrew in Jewish Ideas Daily, Commentary, the Jewish Review of Books, Forward, The Literary Review, The Madison Review, Tiferet, The Weekly Standard, the Jerusalem Post, Akdamot and Makor Rishon.
