Rabbi Dov Lerner
Dov Lerner serves both as the Rabbi of the Young Israel of Jamaica Estates and a Resident Scholar of Yeshiva University’s Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought. In the latter capacity, he has taught courses on Milton, Malbim, Dante, and the World to Come, and led seminars on the intersection of C.S. Lewis and Shakespeare with Jewish thought. He received rabbinic ordination from RIETS, has a BA in English Literature from Yeshiva University, and an MA in religion from the University of Chicago, where he is a PhD candidate specializing in modern biblical exegesis.
