Maimonides Scholars Program

Coming from the public school system, I entered the Maimonides Scholars Program with a desire to strengthen the connection to my Jewish identity. The program’s exploration of various Jewish texts in the philosophical, literary, religious, and political realms allowed me to do just that and ignited in me a serious curiosity to learn more. Its environment fostered serious thinking and learning to a degree unprecedented in high school classrooms. I was able to tackle intellectually challenging texts and debate their notions alongside other inquisitive and enthusiastic students. With the direction and assistance of the knowledgeable faculty and the incredible friends I made, I left the program ready to learn more about Judaism and wanting to continue my involvement with the Maimonides Scholars Program.
