Avi Garson

Politics and Jewish Education

Avi was born in London but grew up in Gibraltar. Following school, he attended Gateshead Talmudical College for two years before spending a third year in a Jerusalem-based Yeshiva. Following his religious studies, he completed a bachelors in Politics at City, University of London, and then a Masters degree in International Security Studies at UCL. He now works in public affairs for a political consultancy in Westminster, London. He is also involved with The Pinsker Centre, a pro-Israel think-tank active across UK campuses. Outside work, he runs an organisation he helped set up called The Ḥabura, a virtual international (Bet Midrash) forum, network and publishing house dedicated to the study and the reinvigoration of the Classical and Western Sephardic traditions.
