Tuvia Gering

Security and Public Policy

Captain (Res.) Tuvia Gering is a research fellow at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security (JISS), specializing in Chinese security and foreign policy. Prior to joining the JISS, Gering was a research-analyst at the Israeli Chinese Media Center (CMC) and a special lecturer in Chinese to PRC guests of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Gering has published in peer-reviewed journals, with bylines on Sinocism, SupChina, Asia Times, Israel Defense, as well as other international media, with quotes in major publications such as The Washington Post, SCMP, Jewish News Syndicate, and Mosaic. Gering holds a B.A. in East Asian Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (summa cum laude) and an M.P.H in Disaster and Emergency Management from Tel Aviv University (summa cum laude).
