What is the Tikvah Online Academy Spring Invitational?

The Spring Invitational is a series of advanced seminars offered by invitation only to outstanding TOA students. The program will center around enduring questions and challenges of Jewish and American life. Each course will meet once per week over the course of six weeks, with one week off for Shavuot. There are a limited number of seminar options open to each age cohort.

How is the Spring Invitational different from a normal Tikvah Online Academy trimester?

The Spring Invitational is distinct in selection and size. Classes will be capped at 12 students—all TOA alumni—and will be highly selective. Additionally, accepted students will only be eligible to enroll in one course for a fully immersive experience in the topic of their choosing.

The Spring Invitational does not align with my spring break schedule. Can I still participate?

Yes! Like our fall and winter schedules, all classes meet on Sundays or weekday evenings, so they will not conflict with the school day.

Can new students apply to the Spring Invitational?

No. Because we have a limited number of spots, the Spring Invitational is only open to exceptional Tikvah Online Academy alumni. We will be announcing opportunities for new students in the summer. Stay tuned for more information.

What are the deadlines?

The application deadline for the Spring Invitational for 7th-12th graders is March 24.  Spaces are limited and we expect a competitive application pool. We encourage interested students to apply early.

How much is tuition?

Each course costs $150. These seminars are heavily subsidized by the Tikvah Fund and its many generous supporters, but the course fee helps cover some of the costs of the experience.

Is financial aid available?

Yes. All students will be able to participate irrespective of financial need. Full and partial need-based tuition scholarships are available. If you are interested in learning more about scholarship opportunities, please write to us at scholarships@tikvahonlineacademy.org.
