Program Associate

The Tikvah Fund has a full-time job opening for a Program Associate to support the work of our High School Division, reporting to the Senior Director of High School Fellowship Programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, personable, and a team player. The Program Associate’s main responsibilities will be to support the Division’s administrative needs.

Responsibilities include:

Program Administration

  • Support HS division with daily administrative operations, including scheduling meetings and data entry.
  • Support financial aspects of program including tracking budgets and paying vendors.
  • Plan and help run in-person and online student events, including Tikvah’s in-residence summer program at Mount Holyoke College.
  • Design and draft language for the website and general emails.
  • Communicate with students, teachers, and parents about student attendance and performance.

  • Strategize with team about Program expansion and improvement.

Recruitment

  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with new and existing schools.
  • Advise the admissions committee.

Research

  • Support curriculum development and reader creation work via research, editing, and minor design work.

Development Associate

The Development Associate is a frontline fundraising role, responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of donors while supporting development initiatives including fundraising events, and campaigns. This position has a direct impact on Tikvah’s financial and operational success.

Major duties and responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a personal portfolio of entry-level Tikvah Society donors and prospects (annual gifts around $2,000).
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for this portfolio of prospects, developing and implementing a strategy for these accounts.
  • Set and regularly revise projections for all budgeted donors.
  • Communicate with donor portfolio via face-to-face meetings, emails, phone calls, and Zoom meetings.
  • Identify new Tikvah Society prospects by calling, emailing, and mailing lower-level donors and subscribers within Tikvah’s larger database.
  • Track all donor interactions in Salesforce and maintain accurate portfolio data, updating addresses, emails, and names as needed.
  • Review weekly development report package.
  • Log all pledges into Salesforce and collect payment in a timely manner.

Senior Gift Officer

The Senior Gift Officer will work closely with the development team and work in partnership with the senior leadership of Tikvah to coordinate fundraising activities across all departments of the organization. This position has a direct impact on Tikvah’s financial and operational success.

Ideal candidates will bring 5+ years of fundraising experience, with a proven track record of cultivating personal relationships and building institutional partnerships. Familiarity and strong identification with Tikvah’s mission is essential.

Responsibilities of the Senior Gift Officer will include:

  • Maintain a personal portfolio of major donors and prospects (annual gifts of $10,000 and greater).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective donors and potential organizational partners.

Assistant Controller – Finance

Reports To: Sr Director of Finance and CFO/COO
Supervision: AP Finance Associate and one Staff Accountant
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Core Tasks:

First, the supports all operational accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices; records transactions directly and/or using integration between different operational systems (export/import); ensures the maintenance of accurate internal and external financial records; and will reconcile revenue records between the accounting system and the fund’s CRM system.

Second, the Assistant Controller will lead the process of creating impeccable monthly and quarterly reports—with thee end-users being the CFO/COO, the Board of Trustees, and departmental managers.

Third, the will have a heavy role in the annual budgeting process, and the annual audit process and tax filings. The Assistant Controller interacts directly with staff to answer inquiries and enhance cross-team collaboration.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Finance Associate, who serves as an AP finance contact for vendors and employees.
  • Supervises Staff Accountant, who has GL and import/export responsibilities.
  • Prepare and/or review accounting entries for assigned parts of the accounting cycle, including AP, AR, Payroll, and Journal Entries.
  • Supervises or completes imports from different databases used by Payroll, AP, and AR into the general accounting system.
  • Preparing timely and relevant financial reports on a regular basis, including preparing and reviewing different schedules and sub-ledgers.
  • Prepare monthly variance reports.
  • Record monthly investment activity.
  • Supervises payroll process.

Qualifications:

BS/BA in accounting and at least 5 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salesforce Administrator

Job Summary: The Salesforce Administrator/FormAssembly Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of our Salesforce instance. This role will work closely with colleagues to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes. The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for executing the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of our CRM platform.

The Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining FormAssembly forms integrated with Salesforce. This role will collaborate with various teams to understand their form and data requirements, ensuring efficient data capture, integration, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both FormAssembly and Salesforce, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Salesforce Administration:
    • Manage Salesforce.com CRM including support by providing prompt and complete resolution to technical challenges and business issues.
    • Perform ongoing system administration, including reports and dashboards, workflows, and other routine tasks.
    • Configure and customize Salesforce applications to meet the business requirements.
    • Create and manage custom objects, fields, and relationships within Salesforce to support form data.

Director of Budgeting and Financial Reporting

Tikvah’s Finance Department is currently seeking a Director of Budgeting and Financial Reporting to serve as a business partner to the Chief Financial Officer, Senior Director of Finance, and division leaders. The Director will be a key player in helping Tikvah analyze business decisions through actionable reports and projection. He/she will also play a significant role in maintaining the financial integrity and operational success of the organization as one of the leaders of the enterprise-wide budgeting process.

Strong analytical, critical thinking, verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills are crucial to this position, as is the ability to interact with all levels of divisional management. The Director is expected to perform his or her duties with a high degree of integrity and autonomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting
    • Develop tools and reports for budgeting and financial analysis
    • Developing formats for different level presentations
    • Drafting Board-level reports and presentations
    • Drafting management-level reports for division chiefs and program directors

We are looking for someone to support recruitment efforts, curriculum development, and general program management as we scale and grow Millstone Scholars nationally. Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit Students and Families to the Millstone Scholars Program
    • Identify and establish relationships with institutional partners and parent leaders to build new Millstone Scholars chapters.
