In a time when prophets were commissioned by God to speak truth to power, Natan HaNavi (in II Samuel 12) rebuked King David. David’s response to the prophet’s accusation was powerful and simple: “I have sinned against the Lord.” In this seminar, we will delve into one of the most famous confrontations in the Hebrew Bible, as we unpack the prophet’s beautiful and complicated parable and the monarch’s moving admission of guilt.
