A one-year program for exceptional 7th and 8th graders—in public and independent private schools—interested in the great ideas and leaders of Jewish civilization, Western democracy, and modern Israel.
Our daughter has been stirred and fulfilled by the unique Millstone Scholar curriculum — which goes beyond any Hebrew School or religious school set of teachings. She has appreciated being surrounded by other enthusiastic learners and has enjoyed the depth of discussion and analysis related to her Jewish heritage. She is excited to continue her Jewish studies with Tikvah during high school.
My son attended the Millstone Scholars Program and absolutely loved it. He gained a deep understanding of Jewish history and eagerly anticipated his Monday sessions. I am very grateful to Tikvah for offering this wonderful opportunity.
I think that at this day and age it’s important for kids to have strong Jewish identities. The Millstone program creates both an educational environment and social environment where kids can not only learn but socialize on many different topics.
I'd like to express my gratitude for our local cohort. When I talk to my friends, I like to put it this way: If I had to choose one activity for my children, including sports, I would choose the Millstone Scholars program.
